Payments

Session payments are processed by Stripe in AUD. MentorMate charges a platform fee on each paid session; the percentage depends on the mentor's subscription tier (see Pricing). What you see at checkout is what you pay for that booking.

Verification

Mentors can connect LinkedIn to strengthen identity signals. Verification badges indicate what the platform has checked — they are not a government ID check. Always use your judgment and our messaging tools to qualify fit before you book.

Reviews

After sessions, mentees and mentors can leave reviews. We may remove content that violates our policies (abuse, spam, or manipulation). Reviews are opinions, not guarantees of future results.

Cancellations & refunds

Our default rules are summarised in the Terms (including notice periods and no-show treatment). If a session cannot occur because of a mentor cancellation or mentor no-show, you should receive a path to a refund in line with those terms. Australian Consumer Law may also apply to certain purchases.

Disputes & safety

For payment or session issues, contact hello@mentormate.com.au with your booking ID. For harassment, fraud, or illegal behaviour, contact us immediately; we may suspend accounts and cooperate with authorities where required.

Payouts (mentors)

Mentor earnings net of the platform fee are paid according to your connected payout account and Stripe's schedules. Tax reporting (including GST) is your responsibility as an independent professional.
